Thursday was a full day of starting with the oncologist appointment, followed by my first Aredia infusion, a pharmacy pickup of ongoing medication ordered earlier and a new prescription drop of newly ordered medication.
The oncologist went over the progress situation now that the peak pain control has been covered without incident. This can be attributed to the ongoing time release morphine and resulting radiation which was completed last week. The full benefits of response to radiation for the pain control are to continue for a period of time after; the Doc said I was not yet at my expected best. The carrot being dangled in front of me gives me further hope since I too feel that improvement is a much desired state. The morphine may have the chance to be evaluated at that time. The beginning warned of the possibility of a slower recovery process to make the expected gains.
